Greetings! My name is Janet Ward.
Are you searching for a better way to live life and raise your children no matter what your circumstances? A way that permanently enriches the lives of everyone in your family and community.
As a mother who has been where you are, I get it. I have experienced deep, deep depths of despair related to a seemingly hopeless, lifelong situation with one of my children. Step by step, slowly and surely, I learned to inch my way back to a fulfilling life of peace and joy, despite the circumstances of that situation not changing one single bit.
There is so much more I could say, but that about sums it up in a few sentences.
And now, out of great gratitude and a desire to pay it forward, I want to be your guide. To be the support for you that I desperately searched for years ago, but never found.
How does this work?
I provide inspiration, insight, and support for parents, especially parents of special needs children. I teach parents how to tap into their own power—power they may not realize they have due to heavy life circumstances—to live more peaceful, harmonious, joyful lives, even if nothing in their surface circumstances changes one bit.
When you, as a parent, begin to uplift yourself, positive effects ripple out to everyone in your family and community, including not only the special needs child(ren) but typically developing siblings as well.
I am a transformational parent coach, writer, teacher, and speaker whose work dances back and forth across the border between psychology and spirituality.
My work is informed by personal experience with my three wonderful children from when they were growing up. This is supplemented by formal life coach training from the Martha Beck Institute and formal parent coach training from Parent Coach International. In addition, for many years I have been a student of many of the world’s foremost spiritual traditions. Collectively, all these combine to lend me a depth and breadth of knowledge, tools, and wisdom upon which to draw.
